STEPH, HER SOLIS: Softness, Safety and the Art of Slowing Down: A Conversation with Steph from Her Solis
Her Solis founder Steph on why true wellbeing comes down to safety, not optimisation, and the small rituals she returns to when life feels too fast.
Steph is the founder of Her Solis, a holistic facial and lymphatic practice built on naturopathic foundations. Her treatments draw on facial sculpting, fascia and TMJ release, and lymphatic drainage, all in service of something simple: helping the body soften and step out of constant doing.
At the retreat, Steph will lead an interactive workshop on lymphatics, tension release and the small daily rituals that support skin health and the nervous system, practical tools guests can carry well beyond the weekend. We caught up with her ahead of the retreat to talk about ritual, regulation and the practices she returns to in her own everyday life.
• Please introduce yourself and your work/practice in your own words.
I’m Steph, founder of Her Solis. My work centres around holistic facials with a naturopathic approach and lymphatic treatments that support both physical and emotional wellbeing. Alongside treatments, I also offer training in lymphatic facial techniques. My work incorporates facial sculpting, lymphatic drainage, fascia and TMJ release, while creating space for the body to soften and come out of that constant “doing” state.
Her Solis has really become a reflection of everything I value — softness, grounding, beauty, ritual and creating little experiences that genuinely make people feel good.
• What drew you to the work you do?
I think I was drawn to the holistic side of health and beauty quite young. Growing my own food slowly turned into growing and making my own oils and skincare, and I became really interested in the connection between what we put on and into our bodies, and how that affects the way we feel.
• What can guests expect from your offering/workshop at the retreat?
Guests can expect an interactive workshop focused on lymphatics, facial and body tension and simple rituals that can be used day to day to support both skin health and the nervous system. I’ll be sharing practical techniques around facial massage, lymphatics, body tension release and self-care, creating a ritual that is easy to take into everyday life.
• What is something you are currently passionate about within health, wellness or healing?
Lately I’ve been really passionate about simple daily rituals and how much they can impact the way we feel physically and mentally. Things like body brushing, lemon water in the morning, infrared and LED light therapy, using my vibration plate and creating small moments throughout the day that help me feel more energised.
• What does “nervous system regulation” or wellbeing mean to you personally?
To me, it’s safety. It’s feeling present in your body. Feeling rested, grounded and not constantly bracing for the next thing. I think true wellbeing is less about perfection or optimisation and more about creating a life and rhythm that your body feels safe existing in.
• What is one practice or ritual you return to in your own everyday life?
Lately I’ve really been trying to get outside in nature first thing in the morning, whether that’s an ocean swim or just morning sunlight and a slow start before looking at my phone. I find the simple things make the biggest difference.
• What do you hope guests walk away feeling after the retreat experience?
I hope guests leave feeling genuinely relaxed and more connected to themselves again. Life can feel so fast and overstimulating, so I think having space to properly slow down, learn something new and be looked after is really important. Even if they walk away with just a few small practices or moments from the retreat that they carry into everyday life, I think that’s really special.
• Where can guests find or connect with you after the retreat?
